Hey, what's wrong with my avatar?
« on: February 24, 2004, 03:43:44 pm »
I found an image for an avatar on the web, but it doesn't show upit only 45x45, so it's not an issue of the image being to big. Could someone help please?
Edit: problem solved. This is now the official avatar help topic. I can help you get your avatar up, or even make one for you.

First choice: http://images.google.com/images?q=tbn:Z7xz...am.com/sonic2b/
second choice: http://images.google.com/images?q=tbn:tz81...xtra/007/images
btw, I know my first choice is more than 100x100, but it said image scale down, so It may shrink, right?

Google thunmbnails only show up at Google (or if you link to them), so that may be why it didn't work. Just save the image and upload it in your profile.

EDIT: Your current avatar... http://ngage_sonic_01_045_045.jpg/ What the hell?

The upload failed. Please contact a member of staff to help rectify the problem
I did it a few minutes ago to check, and it still didn't work. Either image, when uploaded from my computer, got that message.

That's probably because Google thumbnails are fucked up. Either save the full size image and change its size so it is 100x100, or save the thumbnail with Photoshop so it becomes a normal image that isn't broken in any way.

I resized both images to 100x100, but it still won't upload. I also tried it with a few non thumbnail images, and it still doesn't work. I even went to a random website and copied an image, resized it, yet nothing different happened. I have my image  under image b in a folder, and the image was altered with ms paint to add in my username and to resize. But it still doesn't work. Is ms paint also defective? I can send u the altered image and u could see if there's nething I did wrong....Edit:Woot! Problem fixed! I uploaded my image on a random web page! disregard me asking for help!

I am having the same problem. I tried to re-upload my avatar, and the site don't accept. On my current avatar... "Uploaded File 82x81". I am attaching on this msg four files, if is possible to fix my problem.

Now...

THE FOLLOWING ERROR(S) WERE FOUND
The requested file upload failed. This is either because it was not in the correct format, or the file size was larger than that allowed. Please check the file you wish to upload and try again.

Ok... if you want, ask me the file (I tried to attach a zip file, 11Kb). Bye!

The topic don't helped me...

blueblaze:

But in my situation, I am uploading the avatar file from my computer, as a file. And not selecting an url that contain the image... and I don't know if I can find my AVATAR in the internet just now (I don't remember where I download the original file of my avatar). What can I do?

that's not relevant. All u need is 1 file. Now, go to neopets.com. join the site. open a guild. upload the file on your computer as your logo (to do this, simply go to admin powers, layout, guild logo, and type your file name.) after that happens, right click your logo. It should have a weird url. copy, open your avatar setting thing on this site, paste under url, and u should have it.... if that doesn't work, just attach the file and I'll make u an avatar.
